I finished my Undergraduate studies at Cardiff University in Wales, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Ecoscience (a mix of Geology and environmental science). My thesis was based on field studies aimed at delineating the extent of the late-quaternary glaciation in South Wales; palaeo-climatology.

Following this, I moved to Hungary in 2000 and trained as an English teacher. My first job was in an international school teaching business and general English to students of mixed levels and abilities; during this time I also did proof -reading and copy-editing work for a book series which included English language titles on the state of the environment in Hungary.

In 2002 I started a two year MSc. in Environmental Management with the University of SanFrancisco (based in Budapest) which I finished in 2004. My thesis focused on Codes of Conduct for businesses. Since then I've worked for the same University firstly as a Teaching Assistant and later lecturer in Environmental Management Systems and Environmental Philosophy. I particularly like exploring the 'soft' side of environmental science - areas such as communication, ethics, ecology and the science of systems.

I joined the department at Corvinus in 2006 and will be assisting with English language in the department; everything from providing business English lessons to EU project work and holding (English-language) seminars on environmental topics.

In my free time I most enjoy traveling, and when in Hungary I keep fit swimming regularly. I keep my mind limber with trying to master Hungarian, at which I am progressing, albeit slowly.
